Abstract

The study on the topic: «Speech manipulation in modern English and Ukrainian discourses: nominative and pragmatic aspects» aims at investigating speech manipulations in modern English and Ukrainian discourses. Objectives of the study are characterizing of the discourse as a linguistic phenomenon; analysing the types of speech manipulation; investigation of the cultural foundations in modern English- and Ukrainian-language discourses; investigation of the main expressions of speech manipulation in modern English and Ukrainian discourses. The work consists of an introduction, two main chapters, general conclusions, literature cited and list of illustration materials. The total volume of work is 27 pages.
