Функціонування дієприкметника і дієприкметникових зворотів у текстах прес-релізів міжнародних організацій

Abstract

The research paper is devoted to the functioning of the Participle and the participial constructions in the texts of press releases of international organisations. The paper discusses morphological and syntactic functions of the Participle in the English language and the peculiarities of the use of the Participle and the Participial constructions in the texts of press releases of international organisations. During the study, it was established that the Participle and the Participial constructions are important components of press releases, as they help a text to be concise, understandable and more informative. According to the research, the Participle and the Participial constructions perform different functions in a sentence, namely: an attribute, an adverbial modifier of time, place, cause, manner, attendant circumstances, of condition and comparison, as well as a predicative, and a part of a complex object.
