Abstract

The research in “Ways of expressing futurity in the Modern English and Ukrainian languages” presents the analysis of the means of expressing future tense in English and Ukrainian languages. The structure of the work is determined by the general concept and tasks of research in the form of a term paper of the 3rd year. The work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a general conclusion, a summary, and a list of used sources. In the first chapter, the theoretical foundations of the study of the future are specified and attention is focused on the linguistic means of its expression. The second chapter outlines the specifics of means of expressing the future in modern English, their essence and signs, and examples are given. In the third chapter, the peculiarities of means of expressing the future in the modern Ukrainian language, their essence and signs were indicated, and examples were also given.
