dc.description.abstract The term paper deals with gender markers of speech as an essential means of distinguishing the speaker's gender, which affects the perception and understanding of gender in communication. The study's relevance is due to the formation of a separate scientific discipline - linguistic gender studies. The purpose of the course work is to highlight the concepts of gender, gendered speech, and gender markers of men's and women's speech in English-speaking and Ukrainian societies, as well as to analyse their manifestation in various fields of activity. In the course of the study, the method of theoretical analysis of Ukrainian and foreign literature and articles on the given issue, ways of structuring, interpretation, and generalisation were used. A comparative method of gender markers in the Anglo-American and Ukrainian worldviews. The method of classifying the language means inherent in men and women in order to compare and distinguish specific differences and similarities in the styles of speech. en_US
