dc.description.abstract	The aim of the study is to exemplify strong links between language and law via determining linguistic and translatological features of present-day English courtroom discourse. The object of the study is present-day English courtroom discourse and the subject-matter is its linguistic and translatological characteristics. The theoretical significance of the study is predetermined by its contribution to the study of issues of law and language, perception and understanding of speech in context of the courtroom discourse that are currently being actively developed.	en_US
