Abstract:
The objectof study ischaracter’s emotional response in English fictional discourse.The subjectof studyisnon-verbal means of the character’s emotional response in English fictional discourse.The object and subject of the studydefines the purposeof this work –the identification ofthe non-verbal means of the character’s emotional response in English fictional discourse.This purposedetermines the need for consistent solution of the following tasks:1)toconsider the modern approaches to investigating non-verbal communication means;2)to identify thefunctions and classification of non-verbal communication signs;3)to study the nomination as the main way of non-verbal means of the character’s emotional responseactualization in English fictional discourse;4)to classify thelexical-semantic and stylistic means of the nominationof non-verbal markersof the character’s emotional response;5)to conduct the analysis of pragmatic and communicative aspects of non-verbal means representation in English fictional discourse
