Abstract:
The main aimof the Diploma Paper is to detect, study,and systematizethesituations when speech interruptions occurin everyday communication and to evaluate them.
To achieve the aim, the following objectivesshould be fulfilled:•to study a concept and essenceof interruptionsin modern linguistics;•to identify and differentiatethe notions of competitive and cooperative interruptions;•to developa classificationofinterruption reasons;•to study gender aspect on the interruptions in dialogues;•to investigate factors influencing recognition of interrupted speechin Modern English dialogical discourse;•to evaluate the role of the interruptions in conversations
