dc.description.abstract The article reports on a study of the rhetorical prosodic characteristics in English political discourse. The paper draws on the results made in the course of the auditory analysis of public speeches delivered by British politicians. The work presents an overview of political discourse and political rhetoric as well as proves that the prosodic parameters may be regarded as effective means of political discourse rhetorical presentation and persuasion. en_US
