Abstract:
The purpose of this work is to investigate the interplay of verbal and non-verbal means in English and Ukrainian movie trailers, viewed from a contrastive perspective. The main tasks of this research are the following: 1) to analyze various aspects of verbal and non-verbal communication in movie trailers; 2) to explore the methodology for comparative analysis; 3) to examine the shared and unique features of English and Ukrainian trailers; 4) to research the role of movie trailers in film marketing; 5) to define similarities and differences in the use of verbal and non - verbal means in English and Ukrainian movie trailers.
