Abstract:
Term paper is dedicated to the study of functional and semantic features of English and Ukrainian Internet neologisms. The scientific work formulates the theoretical prerequisites for the study, generalizes the definition of the concept of "neologism", carried out a functional, stylistic and comparative analysis of neologisms in the English-language and
Ukrainian-language media space. The work presents a sample of 150 Ukrainian and English neologisms. An analysis of neologisms was carried out on the basis of the collected practical material in order to identify trends in neologisms in the Internet space in modern English and Ukrainian. On the basis of comparative analysis, it was found that more than 70% of the neologisms in the sample were associated with the information space and IT technologies.
