Abstract

This scientific work explores the unique features and difficulties of translating political texts from Korean into Ukrainian. It examines the complex grammatical structures of Korean, the use of honorifics and formal language in Korean, and the need for cultural adaptation. The study also analyzes various stylistic translational transformations, including substitution, compensation, and adaptation, and how they can be used to overcome the difficulties of translating political texts. The research concludes that translating political texts from Korean into Ukrainian requires specialized skills and knowledge, including strong language skills in both languages, cultural competence, and political awareness. By carefully considering the unique features and difficulties of both languages and utilizing appropriate translational transformations, a translator can produce translations that accurately convey the intended meaning of the source text to the target audience. The findings of this study have practical implications for professional translators and researchers in the field of translation studies. Overall, this scientific work highlights the importance of specialized skills and knowledge in translating political texts from Korean into Ukrainian.
