Abstract

The object of the study is intertextuality in contemporary English prose. The subject of the research is linguistic cultural manifestations of intertextuality in contemporary English prose. The aim of the paper is to reveal the sense- and text forming role of biblical, mythological and historical intertextuality in the contemporary prose of British and American authors.
