Інтертекстуальні елементи в англомовних публічних промовах: лінгвокультурологічний аспект

Abstract

The topicality of the paper is predetermined by modern approaches to intertextuality and namely quoting and alluding as the ways in which texts produce their meaning due to references to other texts. The object of the study is intertextual elements in English public speeches (political, business and entertainment ones). The subject of the research is cultural and linguistic aspect of intertextual references in English public speeches. The aim of the paper is to reveal the sense- and text forming and other functions of intertextual elements in English public speeches in its linguistic and cultural aspect.
