dc.description.abstract The article focuses on revealing various manifestations of paradoxicality in contemporary American poetic discourse. It defines paradoxicality as a cognitive and discursive category realized in a dynamic semiotic unity of its content and form. A number of categorial foci structure the category. They are actualized to a different extent in contemporary American poetic discourse through paradoxical poetic forms, namely micro-, macro-, and megaparadoxical ones. en_US
