dc.description.abstract This paper aims to outline the temperature domain as it is lexicalised in the Ukrainian language. The temperature domain will be considered in relation to the semantic and morphosyntactic features of temperature terms, their collocational patterns as well as their semantic extensions. This analysis is carried out from the perspective of a Ukrainian world view. It also seeks to address the gradability of temperature intensity which is variably realised across the temperature domain. On the one hand, this variation is rooted in the phenomenological nature of temperature, which is conceptualised via different frames of reference; on the other, it is evaluated diversely as defined by socio-cultural norms en_US
