Abstract

The aim of this work is to build a metacommunicative model of public discourse. This paper is concerned with metacommunicative modelling commencement addresses which presupposes the study of their grammatical, lexical and stylistic features. The object of the study is commencement addresses delivered at the graduation days by famous public figures such as Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, etc. The subject-matter of the present study is metacommunicative modelling commencement addresses.
