Abstract:
The purpose of this work is the analysis of the prosodic features used in
English inaugural speeches to determine how they impact the overall effectiveness
of the speech.
Achieving the set goal requires solving specific tasks:
- to define the concept of "inaugural speech" and its characteristic
features;
- to distinguish structural-compositional and communicative features of
speech;
- to identify linguistic and non-linguistic means of influence in the
inaugural speech.
