Abstract:
The impact of the industrial revolution on such aspect of the society, as trips is examined in the article. Based on factual material the authors conclude that the origin of organized tourism as a separate field was possible with a combina tion of several factors. The creation of the steam engine and the occurrence on its base the new means of transport, the emergence of internal combustion engines, expansion of the aviation and maritime passenger traffic capabilities, new con struction technology of ways made travelling fast and comfortable. Another fac tor became the urbanization processes, which led to the mobility of society.
