Abstract:
The purpose of the research is to determine the patterns of changes in the functionality of parts of speech in modern English. The subject of research is the communicative-functional approach to the part of speech transformations in modern English. The practical value of the research is provided by the results obtained: the main provisions and conclusions can be used to create a complete theoretical, functional and functional-communicative grammar of the English language, in the development of special courses and seminars on morphology for students of higher educational institutions; writing course, diploma and master's theses, compiling textbooks and teaching aids in the English language.
