The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the peculiarities of nicknames’ translation of the fantasy genre based on the Stephen King’s novels. The research will provide an understanding of how translators face unusual challenges when translating nicknames in imaginary worlds, and how this affects the perception and understanding of the text. The object of research is nicknames of the fantasy genre in Stephen King’s novels, while the subject is semantic and syntactic features of their translation.
The theoretical value of the study is to reveal the linguistic features of fantasy works through the prism of nicknames translation.
