The purpose of the study is to methodically look into and evaluate the process of translating idiomatic expressions from English to Ukrainian in fiction works. The primary tasks are to identify the peculiarities in the translation of idioms and expressions, to study translation techniques and strategies, and look up equivalent translations in Ukrainian. Furthermore, the study attempts and cultural characterics affect the selection of translation processes and evaluate the efficacy of the methods applied in particular fiction works. The final conclusions of the study will enable us to draw conclusions about the efficacy of various approaches to translating idioms and expressions in fiction text and provide suggestions for translator in their practical work.
