Abstract:
Aim: The term paper aims to analyze Emily Dickinson's use of personification
in her poetry and its networks. Tasks: To achieve the research aim, the following tasks will be undertaken:
1) to identify the notion of “personification” and define its features;
2) to outline the main features of personification in Dickinson’s works;
3) to study the specifics of networks of personifications in Dickinson's poetry;
4) to determine the overlapping of personifications within Dickinson's poetry. The study of this topic is important due to its potential to deepen our
understanding of Dickinson's unique poetic style, thematic concerns, and
contributions to the broader literary landscape. Additionally, analyzing the networks
of personifications in her work can shed light on the ways in which she engages with
complex emotions, philosophical concepts, and the natural world.
