Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the stylistic specificity of present-day English and Ukrainian songs. The realization of the set goal involves solving a number of specific tasks: - to specify the concept of stylistic devices - to highlight the characteristic features of English song discourse; - to analyze the communicative aspect of English song discourse; - to elicit the stylistic means of English-language and Ukrainian-speaking songs.
