Abstract

This paper focuses on metafictional narrative strategies characteristic ofcontemporary English-language fiction.The researchrevealsthe variety and stylistic peculiarities of thesestrategies, as well as specifies the definition of metafiction with regard to its liminal status and self-reflexivity.
