Короткий опис(реферат):
The aim of the study is to identify the functional and stylistic features of com-pound adjectives in English-language printed modern mass media texts and then to analyze the ways of transmitting such compound adjectives when translating from English into Ukrainian, taking into account the identified features. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: 1) review of theoretical sources devoted to the general characteristics of com-pound words and adjectives in particular in English and Ukrainian: their structural and semantic properties; 2) review of theoretical sources devoted to the functional and stylistic aspect of compound adjectives in English and Ukrainian and their translation from English into Ukrainian; 3) identification of functional and stylistic features of compound adjectives in selected English-language printed modern mass media texts.
