This master‘s thesis was devoted to the topic of novice words in the corpus
of Roald Dahl works and their translations. As semantic-morphological occasionalisms often gobblefunk in the works of Roald Dahl, we aimed at finding translation ways of rendering rare new words to denote names, creatures, objects, invented animals and many other things in Roald Dahl corpus. Occasionalism is a lexical phenomenon, which consists in the fact that words or expressions used in speech depend on a specific situation or circumstance, and do not have a generally used character. They can be specific to a certain jargon, professional group, regional language or even individual
communication.
