Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to consider the problem of translating phraseological units related to the process of learning and education from English to Ukrainian.
Tasks for coursework:
• To investigate theoretical approaches to the definition of phraseological units.
• Analyze the main types of phraseological units and their classification.
• To investigate the semantic features of phraseological units that denote the process of learning and education:
• Conduct a study of English-Ukrainian phraseological equivalents to indicate the process of learning and education and methods of their translation:
• Compare full and partial equivalents. • Investigate non-equivalent phraseological units.
• Describe and analyze translation techniques such as loan translation, descriptive translation, contextual substitution, and the use of functional analogies.
