Короткий опис(реферат):
The purpose of the article is to establish the characteristic features of speech
acts and to identify new opportunities for the study of speech acts from the standpoint
of translation studies.
The problem of translation of speech acts (hereinafter - SA) is that it is not
always possible to find a syntactic counterpart of the structure used in the original. In
order to adequately convey the communicative intent of the author of the original, the
translator must apply pragmatic adaptation of the source text during translation. This
necessity, caused primarily by the difference in the nature and extent of knowledge of
the addressees of the original and the translation, is connected with the specificity of
the organization of speech communication in different linguistic cultures. One of the
manifestations of such specificity is the wide use of SA in communication.
